It was a nice day and I was just finished shopping at Aberdeen Mall so I walked around and found this place. This was totally impromptu, no advance research. I came here for some Congee. I wanted some comfort food since it was bad weather. This is honestly the best Congee in Richmond I've had so far. It's more about the combination and ratios of spices that most places in Richmond from my experience don't seem to get right. The customer service was friendly and the prices were more than reasonable.

(Note: The Yelp business listing for Lung Kee was incorrectly combined with the listing for the similar named Aberdeen Centre eatery, Leung Kee. Reposting using a new listing.)
Lung Kee (not to be confused with Leung Kee) is one of the food court spots at Aberdeen Centre. I had just got into Vancouver after the trip up from Seattle and was starved. After perusing the options at Aberdeen, I decided to give Lung Kee a try. Their offerings consist of congee (rice porridge) and noodle dishes as the name indicates.
Pricing here is pretty reasonable. I don't think any menu item was above $7. Though it is cash only and unlike some of the other food court places here, drinks are not included with the meal.
I decided to go with the congee combo offering ($6.75). There are several congees you can pick from as well as a few side dishes to choose from. I went with the fish congee and rice noodle rolls.
Since it is a food court, the food is served in plastic containers on food trays and you wait for your number to be called. The fish congee was flavorful, though it seemed like it had MSG in it since I got very thirsty from eating it. The rice noodle rolls are tasty. I would suggest adding the chili oil. Make sure to put sauce on them before taking your meal away as there are no condiments elsewhere.
It was not the best congee that I have had, but for the price and portion it was satisfying enough for a mid-afternoon meal. Make sure to drink plenty of water or a buy a drink though if you try it out. -

The congee (5 Star) is very close to what you can get in Hong Kong. I had the 免戰牛肉粥. The 油條 & 蘿蔔糕 were pretty good (4 Star). I'm coming back when I pass through Richmond next time.

The congee and noodles here are on par with or even better than most sit-down restaurants in Richmond. Shame the Sampan congee contains no pork skin and not much squid, but everything I've tried does have a comforting HK-style quality. The menu prices here and elsewhere in the Aberdeen food court seems go up every few months, so that's somewhat disappointing.
